The New Day leaves the ring while Sheamus has pyro and confetti for his championship celebration. He turns though and receives a Superman Punch from Roman Reigns who takes the title with him when he exits.

In the back we see the Authority stop Reigns and take the title from him. They tell him he can have a title shot tonight but he must defeat Sheamus in 5:15. An unexpected return and some quality matches lead into what should be a great Monday Night Raw.

The Preshow kicked off with the 6-man tag which saw Cesaro, Neville and Dolph Ziggler overcome Sheamus, Rusev and King Barrett.  It was an average match and not a bad way to kick off the Hell In A Cell proceedings.

2/5  Nothing out of the ordinary here. Stardust and The Ascension were at ringside taunting Cesaro again and the face team goes over.

The PPV kicks off with John Cena's US Open Challenge. Cena grab a mic only to announce that he ironically wanted to cut to the chase not waste time and so he uttered the famous "You want some? Come get some" and we're off.

The Real Americans theme hit but noJack Swagger. Zeb Colter on a motorized scooter wheeled out from the back and cut a quick promo about how it's time to for the world to unite and how no one wants to see Cena as champ anymore.

He then caught many by surprise when he announced Cena's opponent was Alberto Del Rio. After a run outside the company the Mexican superstar and former World Heavyweight Champion came out to shock and cheers.

It would be a pretty short match and a stunning victory for the new United States Champion Alberto Del Rio. No arm-bar necessary as Del Rio hits a painful looking backstabber and a super kick to the face of John Cena and then the 1-2-3 as fans were expecting a more drawn out affair. Cena drops the United States Title before taking time off and Del Rio returns to the WWE with a win and another title for his collection.

2/5 Average match. Cena's been through some wars in the US Open Challenges so it's a little tough to accept he went down that easy. Possibly the weakest Cena's looked since Lesnar man-handled him but the hardcore fans finally get another break from Super Cena.

The cell begins to lower and promos cut for Reigns vs Wyatt. Both men make their way to the ring and it begins. Some brutal back and forth outside the cage turns to weaponry as Bray Wyatt uses a kendo stick in nasty fashion slowly picking apart Reigns. At one point he even grabs a chair and sits down before continuing to assault Reigns who's barely responding to each hit at this point.

Wyatt goes off to find more weapons. He sticks a chair in the fence and the crowd give him audible encouragement with an "ooo" of intrigue. His work with the chair gives time for Roman Reigns to catch his breath and Reigns goes on to use two kendo sticks at once. A double shot to the head of Wyatt opens a cut up and Reigns sends Wyatt crashing into the chair that was stuck in the cell.

First Wyatt hits his variation of the rock bottom off the apron to put Reigns through a table. Then a little later on Reigns hits a strong spear to return the favor. Both men are beat and tired. Wyatt hits Sister Abigail but Reigns kicks out at two. More kendo sticks brought in and jammed in the turnbuckles. As Wyatt tries to finish it Reigns counters in the corner hit's Wyatt with the Kendo then drives him face first into another before landing a huge spear and pinning Wyatt for the win.

5/5 This match was a war and an instant classic. It's the best match we've seen from these two together and the punishment and sheer brutality served as what should be a great end to the feud.

Next up we have The New Day out to talk about their fallen brother Xavier Woods as they head to the ring. Out come the Dudley Boyz and the match gets under way. An average match  and pretty much the same we've been seeing on Raw and Smackdown for weeks. Even match and just as the Dudleys seem to be closing in on the win The New Day finds a way. First Kofi tried to set up Bubba Ray by handing him the bent trombone and when that failed and the refs back was turned Big E uses it on Bubba who stumbles and turns around into Kofi's Trouble in Paradise for a New Day victory.

2/ Neither team stepped it up for the PPV. Save for some jokes that played out during the match it was status quo for both teams. The match was hurt by the absence of the third unicorn Xavier Woods.

Charlotte and Nikki are up next. Both women put on a show and Nikki Bella again impressed me. She's really stepped up her game of late but it still wasn't enough as Charlotte was more impressive and able to slap on The Figure Eight

3/5 - They put on a show and the former NXT divas are starting to bring out a new level in Nikki Bella we have not seen before.

Champion Seth Rollins is first out. Kane follows and Rollins is in Kanes face to start the match. Both men trade shots early but it's Kane who's control. After landing some power shots and testing Rollins for most of the match it's Rollins agility and counter smarts that allow him to out work and out class an older and slower Kane which leads to a Powerbomb on the Spanish announce table. Rollins hit the pedigree shortly thereafter and wins clean to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

2/5 - Rollins athletic ability carried much of the match so it's good to see that come through in the results but overall the match wasn't special and certainly not deserving of the build up it received. Corporate Kane likely gets publicly fired on Raw tomorrow night so we know Rollins must watch his back for the Demon leading into Survivor Series.

Ryback heads out and it's Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens defending next. A decent match that is limited by Ryback's limited move-set. Kevin Owens takes some punishment but ultimately controls the match and beats Ryback clean to retain the title.

2/5 - Pretty much a repeat of their last meeting for the title. Owens wins this one in convincing fashion and thankfully we get to see him move on to bigger better things. Ryback isn't a quality opponent for anyone on the roster currently and must make some changes.

Brock Lesnar's music hits it's main event time. The Undertakers up next and we have a standoff in the middle of the ring. These two guys went to war. Both are busted open early and the medic steps in on multiple occasions to clean the blood check the wounds.

Both men trade blows with punches and chair shots. Lesnar introduces the steel steps to the encounter and after three Suplex and an F-5 he begins to get frustrated. Lesnar tears the mat apart and removes the padding to expose the wooden floor of the ring. The Undertaker gets another wind and counters Brock then hits a choke slam and a tombstone on the exposed wood and Lesnar still kicks out! Undertake with a shocked look would later succumb to an F-5 on the wood flooring of the ring and lose the final bout of the trilogy.

5/5   I know this is the second 5/5 of the night but the Hell In A Cell matches were both fantastic bouts to end rivalries and both delivered on the hype with instant classics and matches any fan can enjoy.

Following the match Brock made his way to the back and Undertaker struggling to get to his feet was given a standing ovation and "thank you" chants. Just as we were about to go off air The Wyatt Family music hits and they make their way to the ring. You could sense someone was coming to save The Undertaker but it didn't happen and a 4 on 1 assault began and ended with the Wyatts carrying The Undertaker to the back to close out the show.

3/5 Overall a pretty good PPV. The Hell In A Cell matches delivered big time. Expect some fireworks for Monday Night Raw

Seth Rollins defeats Cesaro 3/5

Solid match that saw WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rollins take some good damage early. At one point he tries to leave and Cesaro gives chase. Heading back into the ring Seth Rollins took over from that point on and closed the match with The Pedigree. The Cosmic Wasteland(Stardust, The Ascension) sat at ringside with a Stardust Section sign and Stardust referring to Cesaro as Superman which clearly is a build up to a future feud for both.

Nikki Bella defeats Paige 3/5

A pretty good divas match that saw the two divas trade power moves and near falls. Despite Team Bella and PCB at ringside there was no outside interference and Nikki picks up a clean win via The Rack Attack

Miz TV  featuring Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae

The segment lead out with some verbal barbs between Miz and Ziggler. Then Summer Rae and Ziggler which all leads to Summer Rae introducing her "new man" Tyler Breeze who comes out to NXT chants. He quickly goes from insulting Ziggler to full assault and drops Dolph before taking a couple selfies with Summer and heading to the back.

Sheamus and Barrett with Rusev defeat The Lucha Dragons 2/5
A clear mismatch from the start is salvaged by the high flying Lucha Dragon offense. Kalisto stood out and put on a show reminiscent of a young WCW Rey Mysterio. His pace and creativity may soon lead to a successful singles career however it was an impressive Brogue Kick from the outside as Sheamus that sealed the deal and King Barrett got the cover.

Bo Dallas vs Ryback 0/5
A typical quick squash match. Building Ryback up this way serves little purpose heading into Hell In A Cell. The match was followed by Renee Young interviewing a very confident Kevin Owens.

Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeat The New Day without Xavier Woods 2/5
A fairly one-sided affair. Reigns and Ambrose were in control from start to finish. New day tried to exit early but were forced back to ringside by The Dudley Boyz

Overall 2/5

A very average Smackdown heading into a PPV. The build up for Hell In A Cell has been lackluster and outside of Lesnar vs Undertaker you may have trouble remembering what matches are even on the Hell In A Cell card so we can help!
